I worked with food stylist Alicia Deal on this Jello inspired project. Like many of us, she uses food as a tool and expression for working through anxieties and staying creative, which more than ever is so necessary for all of our sanity. The project was not intended to represent a visual expression of what the world is dealing with, but it turned out to be very timely. The current generation of Americans has never had so much canned food in their cupboards. This series of gelatinized processed foods nods to both past and future, suspension and preservation, beauty and the grotesque.
